Sr. SEC Financial Reporting Analyst


who will be a critical member of the Corporate Accounting team!


Job Summary:

Prepares Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) financial reports; accounts and forecasts for the impact of for share-based compensation equity awards; develops, maintains and communicates accounting policies; researches, analyzes and documents accounting and disclosure items; and provides support for other areas of accounting and financial reporting.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare quarterly (Form 10-Q) and annual (Form 10-K) SEC financial reports.


·


Responsible for the Company’s compliance with eXtensible Business Reporting Language (“XBRL”) reporting requirements as governed by the SEC.


·


Prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors.


·


Research technical accounting and disclosure issues using authoritative and interpretive guidance. Identify and recommend appropriate application of the guidance in accordance with company policy, U.S. GAAP and the SEC.


·


Monitor and communicate changes in U.S. GAAP and SEC authoritative and interpretive guidance to ensure compliance.


·


Responsible for forecasting and accounting of share-based compensation expense, including establishment of forfeiture rates, development of Black-Scholes assumptions applied in the valuation of stock option grants, recording of quarterly expense and preparation of certain account reconciliations.


·


Identify, analyze and summarize the various components of equity and prepare the rollforward of consolidated equity accounts.


·


Ensure accuracy of, and compliance with, the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley documentation of share-based compensation and SEC financial reporting processes.


·


Perform monthly reconciliation of outstanding equity awards.


·


Forecast dilutive shares outstanding for monthly and quarterly financial planning.


·


Coordinate audit of IDEXX’s 401k Plan and prepare the Plan’s financial statements.


·


Monitor intangibles for impairment, review annual LOB analysis for reasonableness.


Qualifications


EDUCATION:

·


4 year degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required.


·


CPA preferred.


EXPERIENCE:

·


SEC reporting, XBRL and share-based compensation experience a plus.


·


Typically 7+ years’ of related experience.


·


Public audit experience preferred.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

·


Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP.


·


Experience with financial reporting.


·


Strong communication skills both written and verbal.


·


Experience with general ledger module of ERP system, SAP preferred.
