Description


Cargill Corn Milling North America is a manufacturer of value-added corn, sugar and health based products serving the Food, Feed and Fermentation segments. From facilities in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Tennessee and Texas, we provide a wide variety of products and services including high fructose corn syrup, corn syrups, dextrose syrups and sucrose that are used in an array of beverage, brewing, confectionery, food and pharmaceutical applications.


Responsible for financial planning and analytical support of the Feed business segment. Responsibilities include leadership of the segment finance team, planning, preparing and providing interpretation of segment financial results, interpreting trends and variances, business leadership by providing critical financial insight for decision making, ensuring an effective control environment is in place for areas under supervision of the segment finance organization. The Feed Segment consists of the CMNA BU’s value added feed product lines serving the beef, dairy, and aqua markets. Beef and Dairy serve domestic customers with a highly efficient/complex supply chain moving product from production to customers across the country (largely in NW TX). The aqua segment serves customers globally.


Principal Accountabilities:

50% Planning & Analysis: ensure necessary processes and analytical support are in place to interpret and drive insight into action for segment results (volumes, margins, costs, investment and related returns). Provide financial and process leadership for the segment’s PRT process. Participate in and support business development efforts of the segment (MADJV, equity investments, etc.)


25% Financial Control Environment: responsible to ensure effective processes are in place to mitigate financial risks to the segment through policies and monitoring. Partner with BU peers to ensure consistency and process efficiency: Risks can include: counterparty, market, purchase to pay, compliance, etc.


15% Organizational Leadership: lead and develop the segment finance team, financial leader within the segment leadership team, and member of the BU Finance Leadership Team.


10% Shared Services: actively assess the segment’s business processes for opportunity to leverage shared services within the BU and with CBS.


Qualifications


Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance


Minimum 8 years experience within field of study


Minimum 3 years supervisory experience


Demonstrated interpersonal skills (ability to collaborate and provide leadership/direction in peer relationships)


Demonstrated leadership skills: capacity to lead, coach and provide feedback to direct reports and peers


Demonstrated capacity to independently assess multiple tasks and prioritize effectively


Strong conceptual skills and ability to work through ambiguity


Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS PowerPoint


Ability to travel as required (up to 10%-15%)


Preferred:

Previous exposure to trading/market based business and or animal nutrition business


Previous SAP experience helpful
