SAP has appointed Darren Rushworth as managing director for Singapore. Rushworth was previously the managing director for SAP Philippines.
In this new role, Rushworth will oversee sales, business strategy development and SAP operations in Singapore. He will also be responsible for helping businesses in Singapore run better and simpler.
Rushworth (pictured) is based in Singapore and reports to François Lançon, president and managing director for SAP Southeast Asia. Rushworth has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology industry, and has spent 19 years in Asia holding various roles in sales, marketing, strategic alliances and management.
Lancon said, “Rushworth has a strong track record in the Philippines where he grew the SAP Philippines’ business into a leading cloud company powered by SAP HANA. I am confident that he will continue to build on SAP’s success in Singapore and take the company to even greater heights in his new role.”
Rushworth said, “Singapore is undergoing a huge transformation to become the world’s first Smart Nation. Big data, analytics and cloud will play a significant role in delivering this vision, and SAP has the solutions and expertise to help make this happen.”
