Job Description

About the Program: The Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) System is a web-based family of software applications that operate on classified and unclassified networks both ashore and afloat, calculating a ship's material readiness and displaying maintenance and readiness information in various formats that support the chain of command from OPNAV to the Sailor on the ship. MFOM provides near real-time material based readiness reporting to the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N). The program includes both sustainment of the current MFOM system and modernization to an enterprise architecture. About the Position: This position is contingent upon a contract award. This position is for the Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) Logistics Mgmt Analyst, a strategic program for the Information Dominance Division (ID2) Program Area. The Logistics Mgmt Analyst is responsible for logistics management, principles, practices, and processes; to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Plans and Guidelines.

Basic Qualifications

This position is located in Norfolk, Virginia. An ideal candidate must possess the following basic qualifications: - Must have 6 years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support (or 8 years if not DAWIA Level 1 certified) of electronic systems, to include: logistics management, principles, practices, and processes. - Must have 4 years of experience in support of C5ISR systems. Demonstrated skills, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Plans and Guidelines. - Note: Experience may be concurrent. - Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD SECRET clearance - Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently


Desired skills

An ideal candidate would possess the following. - MFOM knowledge highly desired - Knowledge of SPAWAR Logistics process - Navy or other DOD experience highly desired - Highly articulate in both oral and written communications - Experience with specific supply chain management systems and processes including: SAP, P2P, P-card, Material Requisitions - Experience with inventory and property management for Goverment contracts and programs - Experience with database management and/or recordkeeping - Experience with program start-up - Bachelor’s degree - Professional Logistics Certification – i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Level 1or have equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training), or possess an additional two (2) years working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics.
