The Material Handler position exists to support production by receiving and/or transporting raw materials and packaging materials to specified areas. Under the general supervision of the Materials Handling Supervisor, this individual must be able to remain fully attentive of their work surroundings while working at a steady pace to support continually moving, high speed production lines. The individual will perform general material handling functions using forklift equipment. The environment includes indoor work, with exposure to forklift fumes and spice odors. Incumbent is subject to temperature extremes. Individuals must be able to multitask and adapt to various work assignments; must keep their work area clean and follow all safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines. In addition, individuals must work well with others in a supportive team environment in order to meet material handling quality and quantity standards, while reducing waste and rework.
