Newport Corporation is looking for a proactive customer service position responsible for order maintenance, quote preparation, customer forecasting, and contract administration for existing and new OEM customers.

Job duties and responsibilities will consist of:

Orders - entry and maintenance of new and existing orders with company SAP system for assigned accounts, expedites orders with the Planning/Purchasing Department. In addition, Responsible for creating and coordinating bookings and sales analysis reports through SAP and Excel

Quotes – prepares written quotes for standard and custom products, implementation and tracking of customer discounts, proactively contacts customers and works with Key Account Managers (KAM) for quote follow-ups.

Contracts – constructs and maintains customer contracts working with KAM’s and OEM Dept personnel, responds to customer open order reports, and enforces terms of customer agreements.

Assist our Accounting/Credit Dept. with resolving invoice and credit issues

Forecasting/Analysis – responsible for obtaining/interpreting customer’s forecast and then communicating and interpreting this information on a regular basis to Newport’s Operations Team, proactively contacting customer’s buyers and logistics personnel to further develop business relationships and probe for addition business opportunities

Responsible for maintaining integrity of CRM database customer contact data for OEM and Key Account customers

Creating, running, and updating department reports for assigned KAM’s and Program Managers to support their weekly meetings with their OEM customers

Following up on getting customer and internal signatures for OEM part number ECO process Job Requirements:

B.A./B.S. and 7-10+ year experience

SAP knowledge preferred

CRM experience - Sales Force preferred

Experience in customer service role at a manufacturing company – Minimum 5 years customer service/contract administration experience

Microsoft Office – Excel and Word

Excellent people and organizational skills

Detail-oriented

Proactive, positive attitude required to solve internal and external customer issues

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, and provide timely and accurate follow-up to inquiries
