Nielsen is looking for a leader that is well versed in TM1 to lead our Finance TM1 area on a global basis. With over 40,000 employees worldwide, our TM1 system is integral in how we do our Operating plan, Forecast financials and analyze financial information and how we strategically manage budgets.

The person in this role will be responsible for handling complex projects. The person in this role will also support production changes to enable our TM1 Operating Plan and Financial Forecasting systems to deliver technology streams on time and in an efficient manner.

Responsibilities include:

Lead project / support and production changes, related to Operating Plan and Financial Forecasting system modules across regional boundaries.

Architect TM1 solutions based on business requirements.

Act as a lead for the TM1 module.

Assist in integrating groups to replace legacy systems with TM1 seamlessly

Define and lead process improvement projects

Engage with business stakeholders while providing solutions

Handle independently with limited supervision, collaborate with other teams e.g. SAP FICO, HFM (Hyperion)

Work with third-party consultants if and when hired for specific project related work

Handle Infrastructure related to TM1

Provide leadership, coaching and management to offshore teams, ensuring that they are providing a high level of service to internal stakeholders


Bachelor’s degree in a business / accounting related field.

4-6 years’ experience working within IBM Cognos / TM1 domain

Ability to read/develop SQL Server procedures; Understanding of database concepts;

Proven experience successfully implementing Cognos / TM1 modules globally and managing projects within this space

Familiarity with finance terminology/business concepts; Experience with financial planning/budgeting a strong plus;

Knowledge of SAP highly desired

Experience working in an onshore/offshore model and international support environment covering multiple geographies
