Enterprise Technology Specialist - 758316

This is a commissioned sales position located in the South Bay or San Francisco area responsible for technically evangelizing and winning the client, server and infrastructure architectures in focused accounts (key end users, system integrators or OEMs) by offering compelling and cohesive technical solutions based on Intel products and platforms. The primary engagement is at an early stage of an end-user project cycle or an OEM design cycle and supports the efforts of the direct or indirect sales team. This position builds relationships with key account executives and becomes their technology advisor through understanding their business and technical problems, and demonstrating how these can be solved through the use of Intel-based products and solutions. Additionally this position: leads the technical pre-sales phase engaging with the end customer or the OEM technical leaders to drive awareness and early adoption of new Intel technologies, platforms and products; provides training for the Technical Sales Force of fellow travelers in country organizations (MNCs, OEMs, ISVs, SIs etc.) on latest IA Technologies in order to scale our technical messaging; creates excitement and demonstrates the value of the new technology through technical conferences and presentations (including the press in some countries); and may be involved with collaborative project work for trials or proof of concepts. This position may also collaborate with technical academic, government, and/or partner audiences to address design challenges.

The Enterprise Technology Specialist (ETS) is an integral part of the local Enterprise Solution Sales Team partnering with Business Development Managers (BDM), Strategic Relationship Managers (SRM) and Enterprise Account Managers (EAM) to drive preference for Intel Architecture (IA) within their defined territory. He/she works with the BDMs/EAMs (EC) or SRMs (Eco System Partners), to develop strategies and tactics to technically influence End Customers to adopt IA within their IT solutions. Although the majority of tasks are End Customer oriented, Eco-System Partners (Evangelization/Training) will also be required to ensure IA success not only at directly covered accounts, but also indirectly through Fellow Travelers (ISVs, SI, MNCs or OEMs).


Minimum Qualifications

  • BSEE/BSCE/BSCS or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering or applications support.

  • Experience evangelizing, presenting and training ecosystem partners

  • Technology sales/influence expertise

Additional Profile Characteristics Preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Intel's strategies, products, and technologies and/or systems.
