Information Systems is a key player in setting the strategic direction for the Boston Scientific organization. The Business Systems Analyst role furthers this objective and will be focused in the IS Finance space, which leads projects that continuously improve operations of the global Finance organization. BSC's Business Systems Analyst II will support and deliver strategic initiatives within the IS Finance space. It is pivotal in this role to build key capabilities and relationships while driving change within the global Finance organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of Finance applications within the FP&A, Accounting, and Tax spaces.

  • Lead project works team activities that require working with internal and external cross-functional groups.

  • Adhere to project schedules, tasks, and deliverables; possesses ability to identify dependencies and resource requirements

  • Effectively communicate project status, action items, and escalates issues/risks

  • May lead or assist testing of business applications

  • Enables Information Systems to improve efficiency; identifies improvement opportunities that will best meet business strategies.

  • Assure quality of business systems through developing test specifications, executing test specifications, implementing test plans, and quality plans; partner with quality assurance analysts to improve IS quality processes

  • Identify end-user training needs; develop and provide the necessary training to meet respective needs

  • Create and provide quality training materials for user assistance and system usage

  • Work closely with the development team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution is delivered according to the specifications and implementation needs of the business

  • Manage systems development or process improvement projects through applying project management methodology

  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

  • 2-5 years of relevant business process and system analysis experience

  • Experience in SAP Finance

  • Experience in SAP Business Warehouse a plus

  • Experience in SAP Business Intelligence a plus

  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies

  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic

  • Exceptional organizational & time management skills
