The Manufacturing Department is responsible for the production, packaging, and distribution of Kimberly Clark products.

Asset Effectiveness Associate

Primary Duties:

The candidate will work as a member of the operations team with primary focus on equipment reliability. The candidate is required to lead troubleshooting efforts on manufacturing equipment, make periodic rounds to inspect equipment, execute maintenance work orders, and complete maintenance records.

Know and comply with asset LOP’s and SOP’s

Demonstrate an active commitment to quality through adherence to centerline, predictive and preventive check systems

Support the evolution of site systems and initiatives.

Provide operating team leadership in identifying, analyzing and correcting issues regarding equipment reliability.

Provide coaching to ensure operators are working in a safe manner when working on reliability tasks.

Provide technical assistance, training and coordination of reliability tasks performed by the Operations Asset Owners.

Coach and mentor operators in reliability, housekeeping and set-up skills to effectively maintain their equipment.

Provide input to Asset Reliability Leader on PM down planning. Solicit team input for shutdown work priorities. Provide leadership for and participate in PM downs.

Ensure condition monitoring rounds and reliability checks are completed.

Perform routine maintenance tasks in conjunction with asset team.

Initiate work requests to support team members when issues are beyond expertise or require more resourcing, such as major repairs and on-going reliability issues.

Record equipment breakdown and completed repairs in SAP (AMP) system.

Perform operator duties to support Operating Team objectives.

Support the facility grade change initiatives.

Perform operations tasks during PM downs as priorities require.

Achieve certification and mastery in three operations positions.

Achieve Level 4 C in accordance with AE progression.

Provide operator coverage of vacancy for other teams.

Address daily “hot issues” as a resource to the operations team. (Stationary AE)

Coordinate PM down activities for the asset - work with operators, maintenance, and asset owners to ensure proper planning of work orders and manpower. (Stationary AE)

Maintain the rebuild program for spare parts and equipment. (Stationary AE)


Minimum Qualifications



High School diploma or equivalent


Industrial Maintenance experience in a cross functional environment


High-speed equipment troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical issues


Candidate must be able to work on elevated work platforms, catwalks, scaffolding, etc.


Must be able to work 12- hour shifts including nights, holidays, weekends and overtime.

Required Skills:

Use of E&I Test Equipment (VOM, Megger, Calibrators, etc.)


Ability to interpret

Electrical, Electronic, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Instrumentation Drawings, Schematics, and Technical Manuals


AC & DC Motors and Control Circuits


Electrical Control Devices (Limit, Proximity and Photo Switches, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Valves, etc.)


Instrumentation and Control Devices (Pressure, Flow, Level Temperature, etc.)


Hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical power transmission systems troubleshooting, repair and maintenance


Basic Pipefitting

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
