Are you our next Accountant Associate-Inventory Volume?

We are currently seeking an Accountant Associate-Inventory Volume for our Highland Oaks, Florida location. The Accountant Associate-Inventory Volume will ensure proper physical to book volume inventory reconciliation and reporting of fertilizer and feed product inventories, raw materials, and WIP in North America. Responsibilities will include identifying outstanding issues and ensuring that unreconciled balances are promptly reconciled monthly, proposing inventory adjustments when required, preparing reconciliation files in accordance with GAAP and audit guidelines, maintaining Sarbanes Oxley standards, and communicating and partnering with plant personnel regarding inventory issues.

What will you do?


Perform physical to book inventory reconciliations to ensure compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, company accounting policies, and audit standards for all locations. Compile and analyze physical inventory surveys and propose inventory adjustments when required


Investigate complex inventory imbalances ensuring that they are in agreement with warehouse contracts and compile all supportive auditing documentation


Provide necessary guidance to various departments (Distribution Services, Warehousing, Production, etc.) in order to correct/maintain accurate inventory levels


Participate in and/or assist with various projects and process improvements as assigned; assist other team members in various tasks to ensure department success


Position Requirements


What do you need for this role?


Associate’s Degree is required


2+ years’ of Accounting or Inventory related experience


Prior Inventory Accounting experience is preferred


Knowledge of Accounting/Sarbanes Oxley standards


Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to internal controls


Candidate must be proficient in a Microsoft Windows environment (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook) with strong Excel skills


Experience/knowledge of SAP preferred


Strong oral and written communication skills


Ability to work with employees at all levels within the organization


Ability to work in a team environment


Willingness to collaboratively challenge the business
