CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Lubricants department for an Account Representative. This is an entry-level sales position that will be responsible for the sales and marketing of the department’s products & programs. You must be detail oriented, have strong negotiating skills with excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and able to problem solve with creative solutions.

You will:

Manage Sales & Marketing activities for specific territory, taking an active role in telemarketing customers.

Determine best pricing practices and utilize up-selling techniques to grow sales.

Collaborate with team to achieve budgeted gallons in Lubricant sales by obtaining & maintaining market share.

Focus on personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting specific customer problems.

Partner with CHS Lubricant account representatives identifying opportunities for product growth.

Place customer orders within JD Edwards Enterprise One for Lubricant products and schedule shipments.

Provide customer service for customer set-up, transportation and credit transactions.

Work collaboratively with Lubricant’s marketing team to implement promotions.

Build strong teamwork and relationships with external and internal customers and/or other departments in order to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Manage resources effectively, clearly defining priorities and expectations.

Travel up to 10% of the time within the designated territories.

Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Basic Qualifications: (required)

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing

Must be able to travel up to 10% for business within the designated territories

Preferred Qualifications: (desired)

0-5 years sales and marketing experience

3 years customer service or related business experience


Experience with:

Selling concepts, products and programs to a diverse customer base

Negotiating win-win business solutions

Building strong business relationships with customers

Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Map Point

General knowledge of lubricants

Experience in JD Edwards or SAP

Knowledge of the cooperative system
