The Apple Online Store sells its entire product family direct to consumers, education and small business in close to 40 countries worldwide, and is expanding rapidly both in developed and emerging markets. China is a key market for our business and it is important to expand Apple’s ability to reach the customers directly in this country with a well designed locally relevant experience while preserving the Apple brand.

We are looking for a highly organized, results-driven Product Manager for China, who understands the latest industry trends, can influence global roadmap for China specific variances, drive strategic discussions with cross functional teams across the company, evaluate multi-channel and multi-platform experiences and deliver on innovative projects to enrich the shopping experience.

Key Qualifications

At least 10 years of Product / Project Management experience in Consumer Internet technology projects (Payments, Shipping, eCommerce and SAP experience a plus)

Proven ability to influence and lead people across geographies, time-zones and organizational levels

Proven ability to drive large global projects across different countries simultaneously and deliver to deadline and budget constraints

Track record of translating business requirement into technical concepts creating a world-class eCommerce customer experience

Quick study, who can collaborate and contribute a point of view that is based on experience, data and common sense

Passionate about user experience; able to inspire and educate designers and engineers with thought-provoking objectives and customer-centric use cases

Ability to develop new strategies and options as well as understanding of the business processes as needed by projects

Mobile experience a plus

Experience with international markets, especially China is a plus

Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin to support these language speaking counterparts in respective countries

Ability to present work to groups involving individuals from all levels in an organization

A passion for Apple, its products, and its customers is a must


Represent China when working with broader teams to influence China specific features and functionality across the product portfolio

Create a roadmap based on a keen analysis of the market trends and internal requirements

Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the broader organization in drafting business cases, authoring business requirements, designing the customer experience and managing the implementation process

Close collaboration with global and local functional teams and business units to ensure smooth end-to-end execution of global and local initiatives

Gather local requirements and interface with global technical, business and operations teams for all new business initiatives

Partner project management to communicate project status, resolve issues, conduct post-implementation reviews and regular planning meetings to ensure high quality products are delivered

Drive and monitor the performance of features and functionality launched in China to improve adoption and better customer experience

Provide China market and business expertise to the other business owners within the Online Store

Regular communication of global site changes that affect China to local business teams

Occasional international and domestic regional travel up to 20%


Completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree

Start-up experience is ideal but not essential
