Responsibilities

Join our Information Technology team where you will work on new technologies and find ways to meet our customers’ needs and make it easy for them to do business with us. You will manage a team to resolve a diverse range of complex problems and regularly lead multiple, technically complex, large-scale projects.


Supervision of Team



  • Plan, divide & direct work among team members

  • Manage the performance of employees, including setting objectives, assessing performance, placing employees on performance improvement plans and recommending disciplinary action

  • Recommend hiring & pay increases of employees


End-to-End System Analysis & Design


  • Analyze architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs

  • Guide others to assess system usage trends and identify potential performance constraints with inter-system designs

  • Evaluate solution’s alignment with the end user experience


Software / Application Development & Architecture


  • Develop systems & applications, with complex algorithms, to deliver business functions or architectural components

  • Recommend the selection of languages best suited for the architecture of a system or application

  • Improve architecture designs & map form to function by exchanging information regarding system architecture development


Testing


  • Execute & modify QTP scripts with traceability functionality

  • Test business processes/products across applications with an end-to-end process flow


IT Network Infrastructure


  • Design, test and troubleshoot network configurations and guide team members

  • Resolve complex system issues, handle escalations and share knowledge of troubleshooting processes


Technical Documentation & Communication


  • Document processes by thoroughly understanding system capabilities & performance

  • Develop materials in technical language to convey the business value of technical solutions

  • Identify mutually beneficial solutions by recognizing different customer concerns & styles

  • Present analysis, ideas or recommendations with confidence & well-supported approaches to gain buy-in

  • Provide advice and drive the development of solutions that meet customers’ emerging technology needs


Project Management / Risk Assessment


  • Plan, track & report on complex projects with various work-streams for consolidated execution

  • Establish a clear roadmap for project delivery involving shared resources to manage parallel efforts

  • Identify areas for improvement and understand the accompanying impacts, dependencies and risks


This position is required to provide Quality Assurance (QA) strategic direction and management oversight for the global CAO IT organization.

The position provides both management and technical leadership for Quality Assurance resources and projects both domestically and globally. The position will drive CAO IT QA strategy and project specific deliverables. The position will be responsible for management of resources, scope and timeline of multiple concurrent projects throughout the lifecycles insuring all aspects of project quality. Independent decision making authority associated with all facets of high profile project delivery will be granted to the position. Thought leadership is expected at all stages of projects including inception, project planning, requirements, design, test planning, test execution, production delivery, production validation and post production support.

Responsibilities and or Essential Functions:

Strategic and Tactical Quality Assurance planning and leadership. Conceptualizing strategic team goals and developing actionable plans for delivery of those goals. This resource would be expected to design and drive the inventory of QA strategic initiatives and take ownership to the strategic goals (ex: Faster time to market with Agile methodology) and devise an execution plan to enable the assigned goal factoring in schedule, training, resources, approach, milestones and risks. Once the plan was finalized and approved the individual project lead resources would execute the implementation of assigned strategic goals.


Team Leadership. Effectively managing the team for Employee Development - Mid Year/End of Year Appraisals, Development Plans, Talent Assessment, and Assessment of Leadership/Functional Capabilities. The position would also be a mentor to the team to continue to grow and develop the talent base. Lead team towards strategic goals.


Project Management: Schedule mgmt, Risk mgmt, Issue mgmt, Scope mgmt, Communications, Environment mgmt.


End to End System Analysis and Design. Active contributor to the requirements and design 1 phase of assigned projects.


Qualifications



  • B.S. in related area or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years of experience in a related discipline, including supervisory experience

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work across organizations and with cross-functional teams, on a global scale

  • Excellent communication and customer management skills

  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues

  • Ability to work with minimal direction


Knowledge / Skills:

Senior QA professional with proven success in leading teams into SCRUM / Agile methodology

The candidate will exhibit leadership and facilitation skills to help assure that the team follows the rules of Scrum/Agile and helps the team meet their daily and iteration objectives.

Drive and guide delivery team migration to test driven development frameworks

Guide delivery team towards continuous improvement in mobile device user experience and quality of assigned mobile based applications

Provide leadership of the QA testing team for both manual and automated testing; and associated environments, processes, documentations including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports

Responsible for tactical leadership and expertise throughout the test lifecycle including managing the QA testing team including performance; create an environment for continuous improvement initiatives and process improvement programs

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; Ability to influence stakeholders and partners across all levels; Get things done as per project milestones. Demonstrates accountability, thought-leadership, initiative, independence and willingness to learn; Demonstrated ability to lead and work with teams across multiple locations and time zones

Extensive experience in large-scale projects requiring the integration of 3rd party software within common technical infrastructure

Establish matrixes and measurements for quality reporting to IT management. Teaches trains and develops quality personnel to assure continuity and skill growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years of progressively senior QA experience with software delivery and maintenance

3+ years of SCRUM / Agile software delivery leadership experience

3+ years of hands on test automation experience (exp with QTP and Selenium tools desirable)

2+ years of mobile application testing experience

Experience with the full life cycle of project management utilizing multiple types of project methodologies including but not limited to Waterfall and Agile.

Strong verbal communication skills facilitating project planning and execution as a liaison between IT and the business partner teams. Strong technical business partnering skills critical to negotiation between multiple IT teams / departments across a very large corporate environment.

Multiple years of experience of end to end analysis and design of large corporate systems supporting complex and diverse sets of business entities. Specific expert knowledge in applying end to end analysis and design towards towards the corporate goals of business process and system rationalization.

Strong, diverse documentation skills with detailed technical writing

Senior executive communication and presentation skills


Desirable Qualifications:

ERP system functional experience (PeopleSoft HR, PeopleSoft Payroll, SAP Supply Chain)

1+ years of application performance testing experience (esp. with Load Runner desirable)

1+ years in leading QA team mobile device testing framework free from requiring physical devices in the hands of the tester

Experience in developing automated mobile device testing
