This team drives product-marketing strategy, awareness, demand and sales enablement, delivering product content into all critical marketing vehicles (Web, PR, AR, advertising, online, direct marketing, events, tradeshows, etc.). This team works closely with other departments in a cross-functional manner: sales, corporate marketing, product management and development, senior executives, and others as necessary.


Director, Technology Solution Marketing - SAP HANA platform Are you a geek at heart who likes learn new technology and share passionately with the world? Do you have hands-on knowledge with database, advanced analytics and application development technologies that come from either open source or best-of-breed vendors? Are you a big thinker, but good with the details? Do you enjoy taking a concept and making it happen? As a member of the SAP Data Management technical marketing team, you will develop and lead the technical marketing activities related to database topics, featuring SAP HANA platform and other SAP Data Management offerings. This global role includes technology evangelism, authoring quick start guide, blogs, and demos to drive adoption and differentiation, formulate GTM sales and marketing plays, create competitive product feature comparisons, develop positioning and messaging, and various types of technical marketing content for execution of the plan. Key responsibilities include: • Driving marketing initiatives for awareness, demand generation and sales enablement for SAP HANA platform • Managing marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan to meet company objectives • Creating content for marketing field events, demand generation events, direct marketing offers, advertising, website content, PR and AR • Evangelizing and promoting SAP HANA solutions with external and internal audiences • Driving and managing SAP's presence in appropriate events and conferences • Initiating and fostering relationships with development, sales, and other groups within SAP to help support SAP's database objectives • Ensuring successful product launches


This role requires database domain knowledge and product marketing functional expertise, and in-depth knowledge of the IT industry, including operations, development and management aspects. • Hands-on experience managing databases and developing applications on DB2, Oracle Database, Teradata, SQLServer is a must • Strong technical product marketing functional expertise • Strong cross-functional marketing leadership skills • Knowledge of the Database, Application Development, Data Warehousing and Advanced Analytics market • Familiarity with technologies such as databases, servers and storage • Knowledge of SAP products a plus • Outstanding communication skills, both written and spoken • Superb analytical and execution skills


BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
