NAGPUR: The Raisoni Group of Institutions has entered into a pact with SAP India and SEED to incorporate and deliver SAP curriculum to its students. Addressing a press meet, director Preeti Bajaj said their group would be offering scholarships of almost 99.5% of actual cost of the ERP training module available in the market via the SAP site license model to all their students.

She said, every year, the nation produced over 2.5 million university graduates of which 20% are technical ones. But NASSCOMM survey has predicted that only 25% of engineers are employable in the IT companies. The report also stated that India's IT sector will face a potential shortfall of half a million skilled professionals. "To address this, our group seeks to form a strong industry-academia alliance to nurture and hone student's skills," Bajaj said.

Head of SAP Education (India subcontinent) Maheshwari Ramaiah added that there was an ongoing need for skilled IT talent with the continuous evaluation of India's business software industry. "Through this partnership, we aim to empower tomorrow's workforce with a competitive edge to deliver the most valuable skills portfolios in the market," she said.

"We're confident that this collaboration will help students improve their skills and expand their horizons before they enter the professional world," she said.
