At SAP you get your chance to put your ideas into action with maximum impact.The Director Engagement Consulting (CED) works closely with the SAP license organization, SAP delivery organization, customers and partners to ensure the overall success of the Sale and implementation of SAP BusinessObjects services solutions and business processes, and is expected to be a significant contributor to the overall success of the customer relationship. The CED is accountable for team deployment and execution consistent with the Virtual Account Team Mapping, and is expected to play a significant role in the execution of the Customer Relationship. The CED manages a team that is representative of customer base. Help set sales strategy; prioritize and leverage resources to meet SAP objectives. Guide, mentor, teach Client Partners; navigate the organization to help CP be successful; eliminate roadblocks.


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS


Assist / Lead Client Partner in the following: Develop account strategies for key accounts in a complex business environment, negotiate services contracts and close business. Assist /Lead Client Partners in preparation for execution of account strategies through sales calls, bringing account escalations to successful resolution for SAP & Customer;, general objective/development management and account closing. Assist / Lead Client Partners position/present SAP's services products and solution, implementation framework and methodologies to prospective customers and organize/lead appropriate resources to the account to achieve services sales/upgrade/additional revenue. Prioritize customers for Client Partner to evaluate opportunities. Focus CP's to drive business efforts; align CP skills & abilities to the best potential opportunity. Develop staff, improve staff skills, manage employee reporting responsibilities; appropriately forecast revenue & bookings. Evaluate the Client Partner against their observable duties as outlined. Present feedback to support or improve performance. Integrate with core consulting organization as member of extended leadership team.


WORK EXPERIENCE


Specific areas of specialization: Prior experience in services sales; managing a staff with quota achievement or similar experience such as sales team leadership; business application software sales is helpful; preferably in analytics or enterprise performance management. Minimum level of experience required for this position: 10 EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
