Siemens Said to Propose SAP Co-Chief Snabe For Supervisory Board - Businessweek

Siemens AG (SIE) will propose naming SAP AG (SAP)’s co-Chief Executive Officer Jim Hagemann Snabe to its supervisory board, according to people familiar with the matter.

Snabe will succeed former Deutsche Bank AG Chief Executive Officer Josef Ackermann who last week announced that he’ll step down as Siemens’s deputy chairman, the people said, asking to not be identified as the matter is private. Siemens’s supervisory board will vote on the matter tomorrow, the people said. Siemens declined to comment.

SAP said earlier this year that it will end its dual chief executive officer structure next year, with Bill McDermott becoming sole leader as the largest maker of business-management software battles intensifying competition amid a shift in demand to Internet-based applications. Co-CEO Snabe will join the supervisory board after a shareholder vote, leaving McDermott at the helm.
