1) GTM Strategy: Differentiate SAP in the market through development of compelling new revenue streams for SAP based on big data applications. Align closely with SAP engineering, industry teams, sales, partners and customers to ensure that this strategy offers value for customers and partners as well as enables SAP to meet our big data goals from a market and revenue perspective.

2) GTM Execution: Oversee all aspects of go to market execution for the SAP Big Data Applications to include solution strategy development, revenue plan definition, pricing/packaging, competitive positioning, GTM strategy and execution, solution positioning and use case development, pipeline generation strategy, deal support, market evangelism, and customer/partner adoption and success.

3) Evangelism & Deal Support: Significant focus on customer and market facing activities to drive customer sales and to enable the field and partners to scale in selling SAP big data applications.

  • Strong Team Leadership: Effectively develop and lead a team to drive results under tight timeframes and of high quality. Assert ideas and persuades others; mobilizes people to action. Act as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement. Lead by example.

  • Executive Presence: Deliver clear, convincing and well-organized presentations. Project credibility even in highly visible and/or adversarial situations.

  • Expert business knowledge of the Big Data market, including knowledge of big data business applications based on in memory, data warehousing and predictive analytics technologies.

  • Knowledge of SAP HANA, advanced analytics as well as 3rd party Big Data solutions such as Hadoop and NoSQL.

  • Experience in pricing, packaging, and taking solutions to market

  • Competitive knowledge of Big Data and Data Warehousing application solutions from vendors such as Teradata, Oracle Exadata, IBM and Microsoft.

  • Understanding of one or more SAP solution(s) in the area of SAP Suite, Business Analytics & Predicitive Analysis, Data Warehousing, Enterprise Information Management, Hadoop.

  • Ability to build a long term revenue plan attacking target prioritized markets

  • Ability to work effectively in a complex matrix environment.

  • Ability to develop, lead, and work effectively in virtual teams.

  • Proven effectiveness in packaging, enablement, mentoring, and program management.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed deadlines and a track record of achieving personal targets.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, program management, and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to travel globally (25%- 50% travel) and ability to adapt for unique business and cultural practices of each region/country.

  • A self-starter, with energy and drive and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience with global roles or working in multiple countries strongly preferred.

  • Fluency in English, any other language an asset. Fluency in the language of local markets desirable.

  • At least 15 years overall business experience

  • 10+ years experience in Solution/Product Management, with experience in business development, aiding in sales, as well as working with development at an enterprise software vendor. Experience at a large, multi-national software/technology organization is a plus.

  • 5+ years experience with data warehousing applications for top industries. Experience with SAP HANA applications, big data technologies (ie: Hadoop, NoSQL) and data science applications preferred.

  • Deep knowledge with applications from one or more industries such as retail, CPG, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and high tech is strongly preferred.

  • Proven and strong ability to interact with senior executives individually and in groups

  • Prior experienced in solution go to market role

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university preferred.

  • MBA is preferred but not required.
