PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Software Supportt Specialist provides technical support to SAP customers for SAP’s Sourcing and Procurement Software products.


The Software Supportt Specialist is responsible for ensuring the success of customers by effectively providing dependable and timely resolution to all product related technical issues.


Be part of the Development team supporting our customer’s drive for innovation with integrated business software. We work with the newest technologies - object oriented programming, database technology and business software application technology. The work environment is both casual (i.e., we dress casual) and professional (i.e., we take our work seriously). We have fun and encourage community participation – we work as a team. Our software is making a difference in the world.


This position is located in Cambrdige, MA. This could be a great position for a new or recent graduate that's interested in working in a Software Development envionrment.

A successful Support Engineer will:

Work with customers and SAP engineering on business critical technical issues.

Influence process/product improvements from customer driven feedback

Represent the management of SAP in a positive and professional manner

Provide general assistance to other teams within Global Technical Resolution

Provide weekend and evening on call coverage as scheduled


WORK EXPERIENCE

Experience providing technical customer support, Help Desk or Call Center


Experience in one of the following areas:

Technical Support, Software Development, Database Administration, Application/Server

Administration, Network Administration or Software Quality Assurance


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

BS with one year related experience, or MS degree.

Degree in MIS, Math, or Computer Science /Technical related field preferred.

Problem solving and technical resolution for software applications

Preferred certifications or demonstrated proficiency in any of the following:

Object Oriented Programming Languages.

Database Management Systems

Application Servers

Related Technologies for front-end and application web development:

Proven Technical aptitude and knowledge in software applications


Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 10%
