OBJECTIVES

  • Improve the time to value of customer business initiatives that include SAP software

  • Reduce the time and cost of the implementation of SAP software

  • Increase the consumption rate of SAP software and reduce the shelf-ware at the customer

  • Make the customer a reference customer for the implemented application (unless it is customer policy not to be a reference)

  • Avoid escalations

  • Assist the sales team in driving the expansion of SAP software footprint

  • Assist the sales team in driving the expansion of SAP services into the account (including support services)


TASKS

The Delivery Executive:



  • Manages long-term executive relationships with program sponsors and owners creating a trusted advisor relationship whereby the customer values the impartial advice being offered

  • Coordinates a multi-year roadmap of implementation programs of SAP software

  • For each project implementation that includes SAP software, engages in an oversight role in that project providing pro-active guidance to the customer, irrespective of the scope and scale of SAP services involved in the project

  • Persuades the customer to include the appropriate resources from SAP that are required to ensure the success of the project, be that people, tools, methodologies, etc. (In cases where the customer is running a project and it is not possible for SAP individuals to be involved, the DE is exempted from being accountable for the success of such a project).

  • Plays a leading role in business and IT governance of initiatives that include SAP software, influencing the decisions and outcomes of the projects

  • Ensures good working relationships with all delivery partners, encouraging all parties to work towards the above objectives in the best interest of the customer and of SAPs brand

  • Closes the loop with the program sponsors to ensure that value has been derived by the business from implemented initiatives

  • Oversees the delivery of SAP services (including support services) into each project (notwithstanding that the management of the delivery of each SAP services assignment will be done by the usual managers from SAP Services)

  • Manages SAP delivery resources on a project at the customer

  • Integrates all internal SAP functions delivering services to the customer to ensure a coherent, integrated view of delivery from SAP by the customer

  • Works with the license sales colleagues in SAP to help them to identify and close new license opportunities

  • Works with the services and support sales colleagues to help them to identify and close services and support sales opportunities

  • 10+ years of experience in Delivery or Consulting with complex business software / IT solutions

  • 5+ years of deep industry/domain expertise

  • Strong knowledge of the complete SAP offering (including Software and Support)

  • Several years as Partner at System Integrator (e.g. AC)

  • Several years of Business Consulting Management or Value Engineering

  • Proven executive influence and engagement skills

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Business level English: Fluent

  • Local language: Fluent, Business Level

  • Bachelor equivalent

  • Program or project management qualification a plus

  • Executive engagement

  • Program management

  • Change management

  • Managing virtual teams

  • Financial acumen
